Irish VS Scotch: Whiskey Masterclass

Celebrate two of the world’s greatest whiskey traditions with an Irish vs Scotch Whiskey Masterclass at The Doss House.

On Thursday 19th November 2026, step beneath the sandstone arches of The Doss House for an evening dedicated to the rich heritage, bold character, and centuries-old traditions of Irish whiskey and Scotch whisky.

Guided by our whiskey specialist host, guests will explore a curated tasting journey through two iconic whiskey cultures, each renowned for its own distinct style, flavour, and story.

Throughout this evening, guests will uncover what truly sets these two whiskey cultures apart, from Ireland’s signature triple distillation and smooth, approachable style to Scotland’s regional diversity, smoky peat influence, and centuries-old traditions.

To complement the tasting journey, guests will enjoy sharing platters to enhance and contrast the distinct characteristics of each whiskey, from delicate fruit and vanilla notes to rich oak, spice, and smoke.

Set beneath the warm glow of The Doss House’s underground den, this masterclass is more than a tasting, it’s an exploration of tradition, craftsmanship, and the timeless debate between two whiskey powerhouses.
