Dermot Kennedy
The Doss House were honored to host the world famous Irish singer-songwriter, Dermot Kennedy in November 2023 for an unforgettable intimate candlelight session. Dermot is renowned for his powerful vocals, soulful style and heartfelt lyrics. He gained international recognition and his number 1 hits “Outnumbered” “Giants” and “Power Over Me”. After selling out his Australian Tour, this candlelight session took Dermot back to his busking roots which he often mentions was the journey to global success, just him and his guitar.
Róisín O
In November 2023, we had an enchanting evening of angelic harmonies and soulful melodies from Irish singer Róisín O. Born into a family immersed in Ireland’s musical heritage, Róisín O’s path to musical stardom began in the heart of it all. She gained recognition through her debut album, “The Secret Life of Blue” and continues to garner fans following her 2022 no1 album ‘Courageous’ . As the daughter of the renowned Mary Black, she carries the legacy of the Black Family band with her.
Tommy Fleming
Known as the voice of Ireland, Tommy Fleming graced The Doss House in October 2023. Hailing from the picturesque County Sligo, Tommy Fleming has carved a remarkable musical journey, from humble beginnings to international acclaim. This was a truly special evening for us and his long standing supporters. An evening we will never forget!
Sharon Shannon
Sharon Shannon hosted a Candlelight Session back in 2020, she created an enchanting and unforgettable evening of Irish traditional music and charm. Sharon has been crowned one of Ireland’s best composers and multi-instrumentalist who has released 20 original, best-selling albums and collaborated with Bono, the late Sinead O’Connor and Jackson Browne. Sharon’s talent is unparalleled! We are delighted to have Sharon back to The Doss House on 13th March 2024 for a very special candlelight session!
Susan O'Neill
Susan O’Neill was our first talented musician to kick off our Candlelight Sessions in 2018 and what a night it was! Susan is a prolific songwriter with a timeless and captivating voice, her collaboration album, ‘In The Game,’ with Mick Flannery, garnered nominations for the Choice Music Prize and the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards, winning ‘Best Original Folk Track’ for ‘Chain Reaction.’ Susan created an intimate and magical atmosphere in The Doss House!
